Chao Li is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Vienna. Li, studied at Shanxi University, Berlin University of the Arts and Zurich Academy of Fine Arts, he is currently a PhD at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien in Austria. He is member of the SAN PANG Cryptocosmolocal Political Art Collective and engages in interdisciplinary and cross-media research in art and science, sociology, philosophy and other disciplines, and creates art in the form of material painting, installation, performance, sound, video etc. in different formats.

"The artists work depicts draped fabric which resembles robes enveloping figures in stark contrast with a sedate and muted pallet. Li invites viewers into contemplative spaces, where the interplay of light and shadow on fabric suggests ethereal presences. These scenes evoke a sense of sacredness and reverence, prompting reflection on the human experience within spiritual environments.

Each stroke of Li's brush tells a story, weaving together themes of tradition, ritual, and the passage of time, capturing the essence of these timeless moments, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the contemplation of the divine." - Yanis Suite
